Collaborative Drawing Tool

A collaborative drawing tool allowing users to sketch togther in real time. Drawings are stored as arrays of json objects and passed to other connected clients through web sockets for real-time updates. The chat component functions through ajax post requests to the Node.js server.

Object Oriented JavaScript Clock

This analog clock was built entirely in JavaScript using the HTML5 canvas API. Each frame, the application queries the browser for a current time and then translates that time into cartesian coordinates for the hour, minute, and second hand positions. Object Oriented Javascript makes it easy to customize the clock's color and size on the fly.

Dev Bootcamp Final Project

Louder allows users to sync up multiple devices to a soundcloud stream and combine their speaker power. Built with a full JavaScript stack, Louder's main challenge was accounting for variable internet latency when matching play times on multiple devices.

Dev Bootcamp Hackathon Project

Led a team of new Dev Bootcamp students to create a version of the classic arcade game, Space Invaders. Custom animations were created using object oriented JavaScript and the HTML5 Canvas API. Space Invader's biggest challenge was the game engine, constantly checking for object intersections and re-drawing the canvas at 60 frames/second.

Custom Accounting Applications

Two examples of MS Office-based applications I designed for clients to track, display and use production/accounting information. Both began as existing spreadsheets that were used to collect raw data. I added a dynamic front end to each and created the functionality necessary to query/display data in useful formats.
